NBA bans racist Clippers owner, Sterling, for life; fines him N2.5m

 
Donald Sterling, the L.A Clippers owner who was caught on tape making disgusting racist comments to his girlfriend has been banned for life from the NBA and fined $2.5 million, which is the max fine that can be imposed under NBA rules. Under the ban, the 81 year old can't go to games, attend practices, make decisions regarding the team or attend NBA meetings.


Basketball Commissioner Adam Silver made the announcement this evening Tuesday April 29th, saying the National Basketball Association will force Sterling to sell the team, which he has owned since the 80's, to another organization.


Silver said Sterling admitted making those comments but showed no remorse. The commissioner said 'Sentiments of this kind are contrary to the principles of inclusion & respect that form the foundation of our diverse, multicultural and multi-ethnic league." Good move!!!

Beyoncé & Jay Z Announce ‘On The Run’ Stadium Tour

Beyoncé and Jay Z have finally announced their summer stadium tour on their official websites and social media. The tour is set to kick off on June 20, 2014, in Miami, FL.


It is still unknown whether or not more dates will be added in the future or if they will be taking the tour outside the US.

According to the announcement, pre-sale tickets will be made available for Beyonce fan club members and Chase credit card holders on 4/29/14 at Ticketmaster.

$1 from each ticket sold and a portion of the proceeds from the Chase VIP Ticket Package will be donated to the Shawn Carter Foundation. Tickets for the general public will go on sale May 2 on LiveNation.

Conjoined twins Andrew Donovan Lee and Garrett Lee Donovan Stancombe pictured above share both a liver and a heart. And their parents say it's going to stay that way.

The boys who were born on April 10 to 25-year-old father, Kody Stancombe and mother, Michelle Van Horne are joined from their upper chest to the belly button. They share a heart and a liver and were born a month short of a normal full-term pregnancy.

According to the twins' young parents:

We are thankful they were able to survive this long, and they're still going strong. We've discussed it and we see the best is to keep them together. It would hurt us to lose one and have the other. They were born together; they can stay together."

Kim and Kanye planning three wedding ceremonies

 

Kim K and and her third husband-to-be Kanye West are planning not one, not two, but three wedding ceremonies…

According to Radar Online the couple plan to have two ceremonies in France and one in Southern California for legal purposes. The Paris wedding date is rumored to be May 24th.

To avoid long lines and red tape, a source tells RadarOnline.com, the couple’s lawyers recommended they hold a civil ceremony in the United States prior to their French nuptials on May 24.

“Typically, the U.S. recognizes citizens getting married in France, but dealing with a foreign government and paperwork could be a nightmare,” the insider explains. “So just to make sure it’s legal, Kim and Kanye will first be having a civil ceremony in Southern California.”

Next, the couple will cross the Atlantic for their dream ceremony in Paris— and French law dictates that there be two wedding ceremonies.

Reuters reports that an Indonesian transport official confirmed a drunk passenger tried to enter Virgin Australia plane cockpit, causing the pilot to make the 'hijack' call and a forced landing with 150 on board.The passenger has been arrested..

Chris Brown breaks down in tears as he is thrown back in Jail till June....

Chris Brown has been thrown back in jail until June after his bail application was denied by the judge.

The trial was to start today but was postponed till June .He has been locked up since March 14  and faces a 4 year jail sentence..CNN reports..

Chris Brown must return to California the same way he got to Washington, D.C. -- in chains on the grueling "Con Air" inmate transport system.
A Los Angeles judge refused a request to free the singer from custody on Wednesday so he could make his own way back from Washington.

His lawyer , Mark Geragos,said 

"I think it's a little over the top to have him in custody on this misdemeanor when everybody saw the bodyguard's trial and which was nothing more than a bloody nose,And you have got the bodyguard who was convicted and who readily admitted he was the one who did the punching. So all of this is much ado about nothing."

A source told Hollywood Life that he broke down in tears in front of Karrauche who was at the trial,confessing he was so terrified of being locked up for 4 years. He also said he is tired and doesn't sleep because he's nervous.

This is so sad,I feel sorry for him ....Who else feels the same..

Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr's wife of 20 years has filed for separation citing irreconcilable differences.

TMZ reports that Sara Kapfer, Cuba's high school sweetheart, filed yesterday April 22nd in L.A. County Superior Court. The two married in 1994 and have three children together.

Sara wants joint legal and physical custody of their kids and isn't asking for child support currently.

A group of Boko Haram members were arrested and paraded after they confessed to operating in middle belt states of Benue, Nasarawa, Taraba and even those that recently killed scores of people in Zamfara state.
According to Vanguard ,they disclosed to security forces that they took part in many Boko Haram attacks.
A statement signed by the Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade confirmed the development saying

“A group of terrorists operating under the guise of herdsmen from a camp in the outskirt of Wukari have been arrested, while others died after an attack on military check point at Gindin Dorowa, a suburb of Wukari in Taraba State.Other members of the group were sighted in the course of air surveillance and later trailed to their camp where they engaged the troops in a battle.The terrorists were clad in the usual pattern of dress of their counterparts operating in Borno and Yobe States”.One of the apprehended armed men confessed that he had been fighting for the terrorist group in Borno State and was recently brought to Wukari area in furtherance of their mission,Assorted arms and ammunition were recovered from them”.

Nigerian Student found dead in Bangladeshi Lake

A 26year old Nigerian student, Tahir Manni Adam, studying at the Islamic University of Technology, Gazipur, Bangladesh has been found dead inside the lake in the school.

 

According to reports from a local newspaper in Bangladeshi, Dhaka Tribune, Adam, a third year student of Computer Science had gone to the lake to have a bath but unfortunately drowned. According to police reports, his body was recovered from the lake around 10.45pm on Saturday, April 19th and was declared dead on arrival at the Tongi Government Hospital. His body was later taken to Dhaka’s Samorita Hospital.

 

Registrar of the school, Ahsan Habib while confirming the incident said an inquiry has been ordered by the school on the incident and a case has been filed with a police station in Bangladesh.

Vanguard reports that Delta State Government, yesterday, revealed that there's a teenage gay cult in Warri called Yansh. The teenagers who are said to be from ages 15 to 18 reportedly live in rented apartments close to Enerhen Junction, Warri, where gay men come to sleep with them and pay them.

This was revealed by the Delta state governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, yesterday during his Easter message to Deltans at the First Baptist Church in Warri

"These are our sons and men come to sleep with them. It is through the Edu Marshals Programme that we discovered them. We used to know about female harlots, now we have male harlots. Unfortunately they are young boys. There is much government can do, but there is more we can do as parents.” the governor said

Man-Utd Manager David Moyes sacked after only 10 months

Who didn't see this coming? David Moyes, the man who was handpicked by former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson to succeed him when he retired after 26 years in charge, has been sacked as the club's manager after only 10 months.

Moyes, 50, was dismissed at a meeting with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward at the club's Carrington training ground this morning, BBC reports.

Moyes left Everton to sign a six-year deal with Manchester United in 2013 but the premiere league champions have been playing poorly since he took over as manager.

Man U player-coach Ryan Giggs is expected to take charge of the club's next game at home against Norwich this coming Saturday.

Netherlands coach Louis Van Gaal, Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp, Atletico Madrid's manager Diego Simeone and Paris St-Germain's Laurent Blanc have already been tipped as possible successors to Moyes, BBC reports.
